Everything you need to know about climbing Mt Toubkal
Jebel Toubkal is the highest mountain in Atlas mountains range and in the whole North Africa. It reaches altitude of 4167 meters above sea level and is one of the easiest and totally non-technical 4000 meter peaks. Climbing Toubkal without a guide is definitely possible and doable if you have enough experience in mountains climbing.

Climbing Mt Toubkal from Imlil
If you are ready to climb 4000 meters peak it will take you only 2 days to reach the summit of Toubkal from Imlil or even Marrakesh. You will need to take grand taxi or bus from Marrakesh city. It will take about 2 hours from there to village of Imlil where the trek to the summit starts.
1st day is pretty easy. You will need to reach refuge at 3200 meters above sea level. Imlil village is at 1800 meters above sea level, so you will need to make 1400 vertical meters in a day. I recommend to stay and CAF Refuge which is decent place to spend a night.
When to climb Jebel Toubkal
Climbing Jebel Toubkal is considered to be easy. In summer you need to be ready for hot weather and sun. Don't forget sunscreen and sun glasses. Winters are cold and sometimes a bit windy, don't forget to brin down jacket and wind jacket.
Climbing during winter time requires more experience, because you might even need crampons for 2nd day. If you decide to climb in winter make sure to check weather forecast as it might get pretty snowy out there.

Toubkal is the highest mountain in Morocco, Atlas mountains range and in North Africa. During summer time you will not need any special equipment to climb Toubkal. Simple trail running or hiking shoes are enough as in summer there is no snow. During winter you will need crampons, snow protection and warm clothes.
Prices in CAF Refuge
If you are part of CAF members it will be only 80 dirhams for you to stay in the hut. Non CAF members will need to pay 150 dirhams. Breakfasts are 30 dirhams (simple and small), lunch 50 dirhams, diner 80 dirhams (big portion).
Climbing Toubkal without a guide
If you are experienced enough there is no problem for climbing Toubkal without a guide. There are no written rules that you need to have a guide and there are no fees to climb the mountain. You don't need to get any permit to climb it.
